One sunny March morning I was checking my traps and on my first weasel box of the day their was a small opossum. I am twelve and did not have any fur for a week or so. I was shocked and happy. After further investigation I determined that the opossum had caught a wiff of the squirrel in their weasel box as he was walking along the trail. He opened up the box and was smacked in the face by the rat trap.As I walked up on my next set that I've used to trap many squirrel. I saw a white headed skunk stone cold dead with a 110 right on the neck. I don't know if that make sense to you skunk trappers but maybe this does. The set had a milk jug with the bottom cut off and had a slit for the 110. It was set along a small pine forest along the edge of a dense swamp. I was shocked that he did not spray. Anyway I caught to coons that day along with my first skunk and first opossum in a weasel box. There was a nice helping of skunk esscence. That one wasn't getting skinned in the garage! (Still marking plans for a full time fur shed)
