Take a gallon wide mouth jug (clean). Now cut the beaver tails into 2-4 inch pieces. fill jug 2/3 full. place in direct sunlight for aprox 2 months. Later you will see a black oil on the top. Dip this oil out and put into a clean pint jar with lid. This black oil is your lure.
NOTE: Do not add anything to it . Again this is your lure. it is easy to work with, and freeze proof.
NOTE: This jug will produce black oil several times. You get aprox 16-20 ounces per gallon. I have even got upto a qt on larger tails. The leftover can be used as a lure base.
NOTE: This base is a curiosity and food base and should be used in flat sets and dirt hole sets. This is the ingredent that the Grey Fox left a calling card on the top of the jug.
