i have a few questions about work being done to my traps and figured this would be a good place to ask them.
but any way i have ben reading that befor you wax your traps that you should have a light coat of rust on them befor you do this if this is tru why do you need rust on them ? also i was wandering whats the best way to get rust off of a trap?

baitboy, The reason for rusting traps is to get dye to stick to them. If your not going to dye them and are planning on just waxing them then you really don't have to rust them. I took 3 dozen new traps to the car wash and hosed them off to get all the factory oil off, brought them home and waxed them. No problems what so ever. Just make sure they are clean of the oil before you wax.
